Network

Democratic Development

Services

Most of the NDD Centres carry out very similar services. Since the network is made up of Community Centres (CCs) and NGO Resource Centres (NRCs), some members offer more services to NGOs than others. However, all of them perform the same basic functions, giving advice and support where necessary. All services performed are carried out with the simple aim of improving and furthering the development of a democratic, tolerant, rights-based society in Kosovo.

Much of the everyday work involves highlighting different interests to local government, and ensuring that citizens’ needs and concerns are voiced. In this way, the NDD promotes a transparent and co-operative approach to citizen-electorate relations. The main services offered in every centre are outlined below.

Principal Services offered by NDD Centres:

  • Assistance for the registration of local NGOs;
  • Free Advice on a range of areas (project formulation, legal, financial, management);
  • Support and preparation for organising training courses, seminars, meetings and debates;
  • Distribution of literature and relevant information according to NGO needs;
  • Mediation and the promotion of co-operation and information-sharing between NGOs and municipal authorities;
  • Creating contacts with Donors and the Media;
  • Internet and photocopying services;
  • Hire of office meeting rooms is also often possible.
